A talented group of guys putting feeling and emotion into their music, well written and well versed. "Lost Romance" was nominated WAMi Best Song of the Year in 2008... more
John has recently arrived back from a successful promotional tour of Europe and by all accounts his performances and publicity of the latest CD 'Free' was so successful that it has achieved airplay in these countries: U. K, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, Turkey, NZ and UAE.

SINCE becoming a finalist in the WA Music Awards for their song Lost Romance, the John Read Band has gone from strength to strength. With the release of their second album Free, the band’s success story is set to continue during the Nannup Festival over the Labour Day weekend, joining performers such as Canadian artist Michelle Shocked and Sydney-based singer-songwriter Lior. more....
