John Read Band
Finalising their line up mid 2007 the John Read Band are going from strength to strength. After 2 years it’s now quite obvious they’ve found the right fit with their sound, taking on a slightly more funk and groove feel. That’s not to say they can be that easily categorised with touches of folk, blues, rock, ballad and soul appearing from song to song. Also the John Read Band were recently nominated for a 2008 WAMI Song Of The Year for Lost Romance.

"Free" a 12 track CD from one of Perth's local bands "The John Read Band". I would have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed listening to every track on this CD. John has recently arrived back from a successful promotional tour of Europe and by all accounts his performances and publicity of the latest CD 'Free' was so successful that it has achieved airplay in these countries: U. K, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, Turkey, NZ and UAE.
